St. Giles' is a beautiful 12th Century Church in the village of Langford, near Maldon in Essex. We are part of the Church of England and we are in the Diocese of Chelmsford.
We hope that you will find all you need to know about St. Giles' Church here, but if you have any queries at all, please contact the Churchwarden who will be delighted to speak with you.
As with most rural churches these days, our Insurance cover requires the building to be kept locked when not in use, so if you would like to visit, please contact the Churchwarden by telephone or letter and she will arrange a time to view.
We have a Parochial Church Council of nine members who effectively 'run' the Church. As we are a small church, we offer a very intimate atmosphere for worship, and would be delighted to welcome you at any time.
St Giles' Church, Langford, St. Andrew's Church, Heybridge, and St. George's Church, Heybridge Basin belong to the United Benefice of Heybridge and Langford. On the fourth Sunday of each month we share a united service which is rotated between the three churches.
Changes to this list are notified on the Church door.
