Open Day and launch of 'The Friends of St. Giles' Church'.

Saturday 20th May 2006.

'The Friends of St. Giles' Church' was launched in style through an Open Day held on Saturday 20th May. The weather was fickle and changed from warm in brilliant sunshine, to cold in the pouring rain, but despite that, the atmosphere in the church was very good.

The church was beautifully decorated with floral displays which had been sponsored by local organisations and businesses, and their fragrant aroma pervaded the whole building. The display of old photographs of Langford and its surrounds was much admired, and the cake and book stalls did very well. Many kind people signed up to become 'Friends' and all agreed that this was a wonderful event.

Our thanks must be expressed to everyone who helped in any way, and also to thank those who braved the unpredictable weather to come and support us - all were very much appreciated.
